Artist Statement

Photography is a visual memory saved. I document moments in my life that have touched me, the wonder of small details in nature, travels to striking locations where the sites differ but the human element is the same. I have worked in the medium forty plus years, refining my techniques to improve the showcase for what my eye has seen. My work is straight forward, with very little, if any manipulation. I work in 35mm and medium format film as well as digital. I have delved into other mediums, but always come back to photography. My photography is my memory bank.
