I was born in Tbilisi, Georgia, a beautiful country placed at the crossroads of Eastern Europe and Western Asia. Georgia is a land with a magnificent history and unparalleled natural beauty of mountains, beaches and endless vineyards. During my years there, I was introduced to the traditional Caucasian art techniques that include hot and cold cloisonné enameling. There I have developed my own style of fluid cloisonné and enameling on large surfaces. I am an artist of the generation that emerged in the wake of the influence of traditional Caucasian art of enameling, and impressionistic European landscapes. I studied in several studios of artists in Georgia, and Israel. There, I absorbed an acute attention to the mood of colors associated with expressing one's perceptions before nature, subsequently refining my own visual and conceptual vocabulary.
