The inspiration for my work stems from a fascination with nature and biology, more specifically the unique features of plants, trees and the human form. My work emerges from recurring memories, images, music, a photograph that I have taken or from doodles. If my ideas are being sketched repeatably then creating an artwork on that particular subject matter is inevitable. I like to create a dreamlike mood, therefore changing a subject matter’s realistic form to match my symbolic interpretation. Typically, you will see a physical or implied interplay between the human body and nature in my work.
