Artist Statement

I create original paintings on handcrafted wood panels and within handmade wooden frames. All of my art is created with a focus on color and texture and every piece goes through a building process before the painting is ever created. The wooden surface is just as important to me as what I paint: I love incorporating the characteristics of old wood and repurposed materials. I am inspired by vintage finds, and seek out vintage wood and frames to create within and on. I have a small business called Clarabelle Arte where I focus my creative efforts. I believe art should be accessible for everyone and homes should be filled with art and items that are meaningful. I strive to create pieces that are affordable and make people smile.
