Located in the heart of downtown Greenville, the Peace Center is the Upstate’s premier destination for live performance, culture, and community connection. Since opening its doors in 1990, this world-class performing arts center has played a central role in Greenville’s cultural renaissance, offering a diverse array of programming that spans Broadway tours, symphonic concerts, jazz, dance, comedy, lectures, and more.
The Peace Center campus features multiple venues designed to accommodate performances of every scale. The 2,100-seat Peace Concert Hall is renowned for its acoustic excellence and architectural beauty, while the intimate Gunter Theatre provides a flexible setting for chamber music, film screenings, and smaller productions. The TD Stage at the Peace Center, located along the Reedy River, hosts outdoor concerts and community events with scenic views of Falls Park.
Home to key resident companies including the Greenville Symphony Orchestra, Carolina Ballet Theatre and International Ballet, the Peace Center is both a performing arts hub and a catalyst for collaboration across disciplines. Its stages welcome celebrated artists from around the world while also spotlighting local talent and emerging voices.
Education and outreach are integral to the Peace Center’s mission. Through its community impact programs, the center offers student matinees, masterclasses, and in-school residencies, enriching the lives of thousands of students and educators across the region.
As a nonprofit organization, the Peace Center is sustained through the support of donors, sponsors, and the community it serves. More than a venue, it is a gathering place where the arts come to life and where audiences from all backgrounds are invited to connect, reflect, and be inspired.
From Broadway blockbusters to bold new works, the Peace Center continues to elevate the cultural landscape of Greenville and beyond.
