I have been creating most of my life. I majored in commercial design in college and receive a BFA degree. After a few years in advertising, I took some years off to raise three children. Still feeling the urge to create during that time, I became involved in my local community theatre…building props, painting sets, designing and building costumes, designing posters and playbills, and occasionally acting. In 2017, I rediscovered my love of painting. Even though I painted in acrylics and watercolors in college, oils and pastels are my mediums of choice. I am always on the lookout for subject matter for future paintings. I am especially inspired by my grandchildren and South Carolina’s natural beauty and have had my work displayed in the Belton Center for the Arts and in juried shows at the Pickens County Museum of Art and History and at the Anderson Art Center. My work will be displayed in the Artists Guild Gallery on their guest wall during the month of Jul, 2023.
