Barbershop Harmony Society (SPEBSQSA)
Founded in 1965.
Mission Statement
To educate and enrich people’s lives in the Upstate by providing them with musical programs and charitable outreach that exhibit the Barbershop Harmony style. To continually improve in vocal quality, performance and personal fulfillment in a cappella singing, and to introduce singing as a life-long avocation to youth and communities.
Vision Statement
To be recognized in the Upstate communities and in the Barbershop Harmony Society as one of the premier choruses in the Carolinas District. We will grow our singing membership in numbers and quality and create opportunities to present a cappella music experiences to youth and diverse audiences.
On December 2, 2022, the International Barbershop Quartet Champion "Signature" will be in the Greenville area conducting free Youth in Harmony Outreach educational sessions for Upstate middle and high school choral directors and their students ONLY.
The sessions are at Mauldin High School Auditorium and required Pre-registration can be done at https://forms.gle/8s3wdKNAHPvubd1F8.
On December 3, 2022, The Palmetto Statesmen are presenting "Barbershop through the Ages" showcasing several local high school choral groups, Vocal Matrix and the Barbershop Harmony Society (SPEBSQSA) International Barbershop Quartet Champion "Signature." The show is a fundraiser for the schools, Vocal Matrix and The Statesmen.
"Signature" will be available after 4:00 pm on Friday, December 2, 2022, for a public media appearance and interviews.
I need guidance on promoting this event and handling ticket sales. Our organization also needs help "marketing" our non-profit organization to the Upstate communities.
Thank you,
