Artist Statement

My visual artwork is inspired by nature and color. I find interesting compositions almost everywhere. Most of my artwork is derived from my personal photography and experiences observing my surroundings, traveling and studying the colors and shapes found in nature and objects.

My immersion into creating art began later in life. Each new piece is a building block in knowledge and a pathway to a new artistic experience. Experimentation with subjects and media are an important part of my painting and drawing art. Subjects are primarily realistic but many with abstracted viewpoints.
