My paintings are figurative, representational, colorful, gestural, and sometimes surreal. I take inspiration from painters throughout history but am not attempting to represent any established style of art or painting. My paintings pull from my own daily perspective and attempt to represent my lived experiences, almost as a documentation or a record. Media, photography, the internet and advertisement trends all greatly influence my art as these are the most present visual sources I am interacting with. I paint on canvas, paper, yupo, and wood panel with oil paint in a contemporary style. I want my paintings to feel personal and unique yet relatable.
