Balance, contrast and spontaneity are a fitting description for my artwork. Working mostly in figures, my paintings are a combination of mixed media works that acrylic paint, drawing mediums and sometimes collage. I try to let the paint be in charge to an extent, but need to know when to stop for each painting to have a profound and compelling result.

My ultimate goal is to create a compelling work of abstract figures art that engages the viewer, is absorbing and fosters a meaningful dialogue. It is my hope that you will be overcome with feelings of joy and great peace...be reminded that you are surrounded by beauty and joy no matter your circumstances.

Directions

From S Main St, Take a right on N Academy and a left on North Church street to Wade Hampton. Take US-29 N/Wade Hampton Blvd to W Main St in Taylors. Take a slight right onto W Main St. Turn right onto Mill St. Turn right into main parking lot. Stairs to studios are to the left of the studio signs. Studio is on 2nd floor through the “Art” door. The studio (# PW3219) is right next to the Community Darkroom.
