www.christasorauf.comAs a creative artist based in Greenville, South Carolina, I strive to show that art is not only a medium for visual pleasure but also for sustainable design. Living in the former “Textile Capital of the World”, my work starts with fragments of fabric or leftover scraps of my old palettes and canvases. I then layer these upcycled textiles with acrylic paint to create textured canvases of images that inspire me and are often found in nature. Above all, my goal is to encourage viewers to explore the many layers and dimensions of color that compose a single image.
