I create wood and textile pieces using both traditional and novel techniques to create wood-burned and dyed pieces that are beautiful to the eye and to the touch. I create animal portraits and natural scenes on wood pieces using a specific pyrography tool. I also create textile pieces using natural dyes and Japanese Shibori techniques. As an artist, I believe that I am an eternal student of experience, and that I should be constantly growing and exploring as I am creating.
