Established in 2003, Bernhardt House of Violins has become a cornerstone of the Upstate South Carolina music community, offering exceptional string instruments and expert services to musicians of all levels. Located in Greer, just outside Greenville, this locally owned and women-led shop specializes in violins, violas, cellos, and basses, providing a comprehensive range of instruments, bows, cases, sheet music, and accessories.

Bernhardt's commitment to quality is evident in their curated selection of instruments, including dependable German student rentals and exquisite professional-level options. Their rental programs are designed with flexibility in mind, featuring rent-to-own plans where up to 100% of rental payments can be applied toward the purchase of a full-size or step-up instrument. Each rental outfit includes the instrument, bow, case, and rosin, ensuring students have everything they need to succeed.

Beyond sales and rentals, Bernhardt House of Violins is renowned for its in-house luthier services. Their skilled technicians offer expert repair, restoration, and appraisal services, catering to the nuanced needs of string musicians.
