I have been painting and creating art all of my life and knew from a very young age that being an artist was what I wanted to accomplish in life. In college, I studied studio art and art history which ended up being the perfect preparation for a career in art conservation. I worked for a major art gallery doing restoration work on the painting of the great masters for 8 years. During that time, my love of the old masters led me to investigate their painting techniques and spurred me on to develop that knowledge and incorporate it into my own artwork. I really love the post impressionists and pre-Raphaelites, so when I paint my realistic artwork , I like to emulate their style of painting. Lately though, I have been going in a new direction and letting myself explore art wherever my oils and paintbrush will take me.
