Artist Statement

My process of creating art is very straight forward. At a young age I was exposed to old masters’ paintings at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Once exposed, I began work shops, and continued my art training in Greenville, as well as in Normandy, France – French Impressionists are always an inspiration! My subject matter ranges from country life, here and France, as well as “personalized” still-life l’object d’artes . I also enjoy painting garden scenes and flowers. All of my paintings are created on-site , painting with Plein Air and its equivalent in France, or from photos I have taken , due to time constraints, to capture the subject matter,. My art is a source of real pleasure and happiness!
