Artist Statement

I am primarily a landscape artist. They say that you paint what you're surrounded by, and that makes sense in my art. I'm surrounded by green trees and blue skies and enjoy traveling to the coast which also frequently makes an appearance in my work. I work in acrylics on stretched canvas or canvas paper. My goal with my art is to provide you with a moment of peace. If I can make you stop -- even for a moment -- to admire my art, I've won. If I was able to take you out of your routine of busyness and give you a moment to pause, I've achieved my goal. My landscapes are tranquil and inviting and I hope you look at them and wish it was a place you could be.
