This is a course in learning to represent 3 dimensional form on a 2 dimensional surface using color. The student learns to see the colors of the visible world in a different way than humans have been conditioned to see; learn to perceive, mix and arrange colors to create a vibrant, light-filled image that also conveys depth and solidity. Using simple objects as models, this method brings new life and beauty to ordinary objects and expands the mind toward greater creativity and expression. There will be a demonstration of the method and some color mixing exercises to begin.

The workshop is for all levels, even brand-new beginners, and all materials are provided. The work is done in oils, but the content applies to all painting media. The course is suitable for students age 15 and up.
