Join renowned collage and mixed media artist, Judy Verhoeven, for a weekend of joyful art-making for all skill levels. If you like to jump from one medium to the next, Judy’s Mixed Media Mashup will tickle your fancy. In this class we will incorporate acrylic painting, collage using your own painted papers, image transfers, mark-making with common objects, and drawing — all together in one piece. Instruction also includes a focus on image composition and color choice decisions. This class spans a full weekend to let you fully immerse yourself in fun, creative experimentation.
According to Judy: “Over the years, I’ve had lots of conversations with people who buy my art or who want to talk about art-process, or who want to look up close to find all the hidden bits within it. There’s one thing they all agree on - ‘Judy art’ makes them happy, which is exactly what I want it to do. My agenda is obvious as words like love, peace, hope, etc. regularly show up in my work. I like to bring art into this world that gives goodness and connects us to each other.”
