January 26, 2023 6-9pm and January 27, 2023 9-4pm

This abstract course is designed for Artists, from any art medium, to step into the abstract world. We’ll work with shapes and lines, with neutrals and papers and think about the essence and the emotions related to abstract art. We’ll introduce some color!

Let’s open our minds to see the fascination of working abstractly. Non-representational art offers so many opportunities for creation. It’s great for expanding traditional talents or venturing into a new body of work.

We will work in series throughout this course. My role is to ignite excitement. Artists with some “art experience” are invited to enroll. If you feel you might not have the right experience, please call me and let’s discuss. Class size will be limited to 12. Costs: $135. Early Registration before 12/31 = $15 discount

Class will include some supplies, thinking
out of the box, supplies. Be prepared to do new things! Enrollees will
receive a suggested supply list after enrollment. Dress accordingly or bring a
paint shirt or lab type coat.

I will supply lunch on Saturday, keep our
time precious to work. Please advise me of any diet restrictions.

Site provides ample parking, handicap
accessible ramp for loading and unloading, nice bathrooms, and a pleasant safe
environment in the heart of Mauldin, SC. Several hotel choices are close
to the site for out-of-town artists.
