Artist Statement

I have been a professional artist for over 20 years, working primarily in traditional mediums. My subject matter is varied and often reimagines ideas from popular culture - superheroes, monsters, game characters, and robots - blending them together and warping them into something entirely unique.

From there, my inspiration will distill down to specific ideas, infusing my pop culture ideas into political imagery or social commentary. I am working constantly, either by collecting mental imagery or through random sketches on a subconscious level. Finding an idea or story through unconventional sources satisfies my artistic drive.

My most recent project is a 96 page, linocut comic book. Each page, carved, colored and printed, to tell my story.
