My paintings are an exploration of the symbolic and poetic possibilities of the landscape and the figure. With richly, colored layers of mixed media, I create an immersive visual experience that breathes life into lived & imagined worlds. I find inspiration in travel and, particularly, in walking & hiking in nature. Every year I undertake a quest/ pilgrimage to deepen my understanding & connection to self & community during which I sketch & draw. Upon returning to my studio I create works which speak to my experiences through layered paintings that hover between abstraction & representation; showing how it felt to be there. I work on sculpted birch with fluid layers of inks, acrylics with accents in gold & silver leaf.

Drive north on Main St (passing the Soda Shop), and make a right on E Hillcrest Dr. The studio is located in a former church building on the left side of the street. Make a left turn after the church onto McDonald St and park in the spacious lot behind the church.
