My work comes from my heart after I pray before painting and includes messages of hope under the first layer. I took an art class in the 9th grade and the teacher told me not to pursue art. I went on to have fulfilling careers in education and the non-profit sector. My desire to paint never went away. I dabbled in art taking several courses in person and on line. It wasn’t until I moved to Greenville and had the opportunity to study under Greenville artist, Julia Peters, that I found the confidence to share my work. I primarily work in acrylics and watercolors and am exploring collage. I use a variety of tools to create the mood, textures, and depth in my work.
From downtown take I -385 (North Street) and exit on Laurens Road. Turn right and continue to Airport Road. Turn left on to Airport Road and the studio will be on the right a few blocks from Laurens Road.
