“Boundaries” is a common buzzword, but what does it really mean? In this 3 hour
workshop, we’ll explore the concept of boundaries as also thresholds, liminal points
where we can invite in as well as keep out. How do boundaries and thresholds help
us, or hold us back? How might your creative Muse respond?
We will use art and experience — our own and others’ — to investigate how to make
use of the concepts of boundaries and thresholds to effectively further our own
practice of art and the art of living. This workshop will combine instruction, artmaking, reflection, and discussion to help us explore these concepts.
At the end of the workshop, students will have a deeper understanding of these
concepts, and take away some actionable ideas for using them in the process of
their lives and art.
This workshop is open to all, especially those who value their creative spirits and
either want to deepen their existing work or give life to their curiosity in the arts. A
welcome email with short materials list will be sent upon signing up.
This is the first in a series of short workshop-based sessions that will enhance your
creative practice. These workshops are appropriate for visual artists, writers,
musicians, storytellers, performers and really any human who finds creative
intention plays a central role in their lives, or who wants to increase their connection
to their creative spirit.
