Spoonbill Gallery presents PLAYSCAPE, a two-person exhibition by artist couple James and Glory Day McSharry exploring balance, scale, and imagination through sculpture and assemblage.
James McSharry’s monumental Corten steel sculptures evoke a sense of curiosity through stacked, stone-like forms that feel both precarious and purposeful. His work invites viewers to consider balance, gravity, and the spirit of experimentation.

Glory Day McSharry’s wooden sculptures and assemblages extend her painting practice into three-dimensional space, exploring color as form and abstraction through memory and association.

Created both individually and collaboratively, the works in PLAYSCAPE reflect the artists’ shared commitment to curiosity, learning, and play. Together, their sculptures create a dynamic rhythm between weight and lightness, structure and spontaneity, inviting viewers to slow down and rediscover a sense of wonder.
