JUST A GLIMPSE

This summer, Sarkis Chorbadjian returned to Cyprus, his birthplace, where he spent two and a half weeks reconnecting with its landscapes, villages, and relaxed way of life. Not long after, a major brush fire struck the region, altering much of the countryside he had just visited.

In the studio, this experience brought new energy to his work. His minimalist abstractions began to carry more form, reflecting not only what was lost but also what endures. The paintings celebrate the strength of memory and the lasting impression of place offering glimpses of beauty that remain vivid despite change.
