Draw Near

Join Spoonbill Gallery for a special artist reception celebrating Nathaniel Mather and his newest body of work, Draw Near, a thoughtful and personal series of abstract mixed media paintings.

Based in Nashville, Mather’s work grows out of an intuitive, layered process where painting becomes a kind of reflection and daily practice. This collection is rooted in the idea of seeking guidance, strength, and transformation. The exhibition takes inspiration from a verse in the Book of James. Each piece builds over time, with layers of texture and movement that allow thoughts and emotions to surface naturally. The work feels open and honest, inviting viewers to slow down and connect.
