As a painter my goal using paint and canvas is to show things most of us don't take the time to see in our busy lives. The way morning shadows slash across the walls of steep village streets or a swan’s feathers glow in a hundred variations of white.
Using traditional painting methods and materials to create my paintings, my representational style lets the viewer into the subject, place or moment in time they have visited before. I call South Carolina my home, but I look at the world as a painter.
