I work in multiple mediums that often influence each other in unexpected ways. My hand painted wood and acrylic jewelry feature abstract brush strokes, geometric patterns, and landscape scenes, and my needle felted fiber art echoes these same ideas in a completely different context, using dyed wool fiber, rug yarn, and fabric. I’m inspired by patterns and colors found in nature, as well as the scenery from all over the state of South Carolina, and these themes may appear in an etched wooden pendant, a needle felted scene of the upstate, a one-of-a-kind pair of earrings cut from my own original paintings on acrylic, or even a 3D sculpture of a native bird made from wool fiber.
