ROBIN RICE ZOTARA
My art is acrylic on canvas. Angels and birds as well as exploring mid century modern art for its playfulness and colorful home decor style.
I have a somewhat whimsical style when it comes to Angel painting. Sometimes with lots of texture, sometimes inspired by angel statues I have either seen in person or in photos. Sometimes just pushing paint around, I wind up with something soulful and heartfelt. I've sold many of my pieces to friends and family and through social media and one of my Angels even made its way into a book, "Night of 100 Angels, Volume 2" by Patrick Weyland. I had the honor of being selected to participate in his art show with the same name In Laguna Beach, Ca. in 2012.
I then returned to my home in CT completely inspired and produced two large community Angel Art Shows in Hartford.
"Angels in the Casa" in 2013 and "Wings Inspired to Fly" in 2014.
With more than 100 artists participating in a wide variety of mediums and styles, it was, by far, one of the most uplifting journeys I have ever been on.
I paint from the heart. I am drawn to things ethereal with a touch of playfulness. I have just arrived in Greenville this past summer and look forward to painting more and finding my home in the art community here.
