Art makes me so feel alive. I love smelling the fresh oils as I open them up begin to mix them on the palette. To feel the texture of the paint as I apply it to the canvas. To see the colors, so vibrant, beginning to compose an image – no matter what it is. Painting is my first love, but I also have a fondness for other mediums as well; namely photography, printmaking and sculpture. Practicing art has made me a bolder, braver, and more insightful person. Sometimes it is scary stepping out into the unknown, but there is a connection to and a generosity behind the work that liberates me – and therefore, makes it worth every moment.
