PAMELA ESTEPPE BROCK
When an artist creates, there is a place he goes in his heart, soul, and mind that develops the essence of his creation. As the viewer engages in my paintings, my hope is that he feels my passion and enjoys the journey. I do not limit myself to one particular subject matter. I agree with Claude Monet who said, "For me, the subject is of secondary importance. I want to convey what is alive between the subject and myself." I am continually experimenting with different media and techniques as I push myself and grow as an artist. At the moment, I am concentrating on watercolor because I am intrigued with it's freedom and fluidity. This medium is difficult and unforgiving, but I like the challenge and it fascinates me.
