I began painting in 2000 with some basic pieces for decoration of my home but after being pleasantly surprised with the results, I was eager to further develop my skills. I began taking art classes in 2002 with Christina Johnson in Raleigh, NC at Rushing Water Studios. I was fortunate to be able to move to Europe in 2011 where I found many inspirational subjects that pushed me to continue to study art in Clermont-Ferrand, France. I have been residing in Simpsonville since 2014 and have been creating art full time, capitalizing on my recently emptied nest.
My preferred medium is acrylic paint, however I occasionally experiment in oils as well. I frequently paint European landscapes inspired from the time I spent there, but I also have many pieces with a variety of subjects. I held my first show in April of 2018 and have been doing shows and events continuously since.
