I am a self-taught artist based in Easley, South Carolina, working primarily in acrylic to create large, atmospheric landscapes inspired by the sky and surrounding land of our family property, On Golden Creek Farm.
My work is rooted in observation—moments of shifting light, dramatic skies, and the quiet movement of air across open space. Using my own photography as a starting point, I build each painting through layered textures and luminous color, aiming to capture not just what is seen, but what is felt: the sense of stillness, energy, and presence within the natural world.
Texture plays a central role in my process. Through the use of modeling paste and layered surfaces, I create depth and dimension that interact with light, often enhanced with subtle shimmer. Many pieces include a quiet narrative element—small wildlife or distant forms—intended to be discovered rather than immediately noticed.
Each painting is presented in a custom floating frame, that I design and built by hand, allowing the work to feel complete and ready to live within its space.
My goal is to create immersive landscapes that invite the viewer to pause, breathe, and experience a moment of connection with the natural world.
