Artist Statement
As an artist, I strive to create drawings, paintings, sculptures and art shadow boxes that are at once classy witty, playful, whimsical and on occasion interactive. My work is largely expressionistic, gestural, conceptual and fluid in nature; in the sense that I contemplate an idea for a long while before commencing execution, and like life itself, the creative art process is largely organic. I also love to combine anything nostalgic (i.e., vintage ephemera: photographs, antique sheet music, vintage fashion ads, etc.), nature, animals, music, dance and poetry themes in my work. It’s my joy and hope that my work tickles your senses and makes you smile.
