I began my painting career in 2015 by taking a beginner's painting class in Myrtle Beach, SC. That class led to an encounter with international pastel artist, Christopher Reid, who was living in Wilmington, NC, at that time. Striking up a friendship, Reid gave me private lessons in pastel painting that entire summer. Since moving to Greenville in 2016, I have been blessed to take lessons from local artists Erin Webb, Diarmuid Kelly, Peggy Tanner Day, Suzy Hart, and Julia Peters. While I also paint in oil and acrylics, my favorite medium is pastel.
