As an artist inspiration is important to me. I try to make some quiet time to reflect and draw from my imagination what my next project might be. I will take sources and tape around the studio. Sometimes I will combine sources or even paint from life something that interest me. It might take me several days before I come up with a plan. I will then determine the color theory I would like for my painting. After that I block in the darks and medium tones and shapes and finish with the highlights. I always try to add an area of interest to each painting to capture someones attention no matter how small.
