In August 2004 after she won a green card in the diversity visa lottery, Elena moved to the USA with her husband Vladimir Demidovich and her son Vladimir. While working as a full time seamstress for interior designers and living with an amazing artist for over 20 years, Elena decided to learn how to paint from her husband. She liked more impasto style with 3D effects, so she created her own style using oil paints and a palette knife. Elena's first exhibition was in 2021 at Melange Art Gallery in Greenville SC. In 2022, she started exhibiting in Art Mob gallery in Hendersonville NC and participated in their Black and White Show in 2023. In February of 2024 she started exhibiting in Pivot Point Gallery in Knoxville TN. Currently her paintings exhibit in Bennetts Art and Frame gallery in Greenville SC, Fine Art gallery in Simpsonville SC, and Art Mob Gallery in Hendersonville NC.
