Mission Statement

The mission of DTG's Performance Company is to provide local dance to the community through original works performed by pre-professional dancers ages 11-18. The company provides workshops, master classes with guest artists, performance opportunities, and technical dance training. DTG, rooted in education, will bring inspiration and entertainment to a diverse audience.

Dance Theatre of Greenville’s newest full-length production Henri, is a collaboration of contemporary works from resident and guest choreographers that are inspired by the works of Henri Matisse. Each choreographic work presented draws inspiration from Matisse’s artistic expression and his ability to capture the pure essence of form and color. From “Open Window” to “Woman with a Hat”, to the depiction of Matisse himself, Henri will captivate the audience, leaving them with a rewarding, enriching and truly unique artistic experience.

For its inaugural performance, Dance Theatre of Greenville presents THEMIS, which explores the rich history of balancing the scales. Her blindfold in tact and sword at the ready, the goddess emits the grace and strength of divine law, order, and fairness.
