More than fifty years as a professional artist encompasses various forms of artistic expression (impressionism, realism, and abstraction) and media (painting, drawing, construction, three dimension, pottery, graphics, photography, and multimedia). Basic design principles (balance, rhythm, harmony, repetition, contrast, etc.) and formalism are fundamental in the creative process. In my golden years, nature's elements of color, texture, shape, space, etc., provide endless possibilities for vibrant and colorful forms of artistic expression. While my primary focus is now original "Visions of Nature" paintings, traditional paintings remain a significant and very important part of my portfolio. Regardless of the challenge, I use a formal approach in the depiction of phenomena. Therefore, a large degree of time is given to studying outstanding qualities of the subject-matter’s formal and informal values and how they will best express themselves within the intended composition.
