Say What is at Coffee Underground on Sunday! Poetry Open Mic, Slams & Spotlight Features; Shows hosted by poets such as Moody Black and Jenice Pleasant. The night will also feature poetry games and open mic slots for local poets on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Produced by Wits End Poetry. All poetry styles welcome. Coffee Underground. 1 East Coffee Street. Greenville, SC 29601. Doors open at 7:00pm. $10.

Say What feature Bluz: Channels human experiences through the gift of metaphors and similes, Bluz first book of poetry was entitled “Articulate Slang” and he has released three audio collections. His poetry is universal, dismantling social, economic, and ethnic barriers reaching into the heart of the community where he is an active member. Working with several organizations such as the Blumenthal Arts Center, Junior Achievement, Charlotte Chamber of Commerce, Afro-American Center, Wachovia, CBS Radio, Radio Disney, Raycom Sports, ESPN and SPEED TV, where he wrote and performed several intros for the nationally televised showed NASCAR. Bluz has won four Emmy Awards, 2010 Southern Fried Poetry Slam, and is Slam Master and Coach of 2007 and 2008 award winning competitive slam team, Slam Charlotte.
