Mind Yourself is a solo exhibition featuring local Greenville artist Lisa Cyckowski. Her collection of over 30 paintings intertwine scenes of people in the ordinary moments that shape their lives. Cyckowski reflects on a passion for mental health, seeking to unravel the complexities of human emotion that lives beneath the surface. Cyckowski’s paintings emanate a light-heartedness and whimsy, drawing viewers into a world of their own. However, as the figures twist and turn, a sobering revelation emerges—her characters grapple with personal realities suggesting everything may not be as it appears on the surface. Rooted in genuine life experiences, Cyckowski’s work offers reassurance and understanding in an uncertain world.
