John Huston has distinguished himself as one of the most exciting and expressive guitarists of his generation. He has won prizes in many key national and international competitions. Accolades for his performances are numerous. He has performed in the finest concert halls in the Southeastern United States and has frequently been invited to perform at international guitar festivals. John holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Georgia and is a noted educator and teacher. He was the founder of the Atlanta Guitar Guild, serving as President from 2012-2015. He is well-known to our patrons as the “6 string part” of 9 STRING THEORY, playing beside Domra Virtuoso Angelina Galashenkova, the duo that has delighted our audiences in previous Seasons.
