Jessie Avant Smith Holiday Pop Up

Art & Light Gallery is happy to announce a 2023 Holiday Pop Up with artist Jessie Avant Smith, launching on the Art & Light website at www.artandlightgallery.com/exhibitions and in the gallery on Saturday, November 25 from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm (or until sell out).
Jessie Avant Smith is a multidisciplinary artist from Charlotte, North Carolina whose work includes steel and mixed media sculptures, contemporary jewelry, and two-dimensional drawings and paintings. Jessie finds inspiration in moments from daily life, and in kitschy, mass-produced products from mid to late 20th-century American nostalgia. Using low contrast, split complementary color palettes, and pleasing linear elements she draws the viewer in for a moment of rest, contemplation, and maybe a little laugh. Jessie’s holiday pop-up at Art & Light will feature her quirky still life pieces painted in acrylic and dry media on wood, found objects, and paper.
