The gallery at Good Art Co. is thrilled to host “I’m Tryna Get Like YOU,” a group exhibition featuring new work by BLKMRKTCLT, an arts studio and collective based in Charlotte, NC that was created to give Black artists a safe space to create. Curated by artist Carla Aaron-Lopez, this exhibition is “a snapshot of the range of practices and skills the BLKMRKTCLT collective brings to table. We are Black and Southern. We are young and old. We move the needle of culture. Which is why you need to get like us.”
“I’m Tryna Get Like YOU” brings together a diverse variety of some of the strongest works from BLKMRKTCLT, telling a larger story of Black culture and captivating viewers with a powerful collective presence. On display March 13th through April 27th at Greenville’s newest creative space, Good Art Co., at 10 Central Ave. First Friday Opening on 4/5 from 6-9pm, and Closing Celebration + Artists’ Talk on 4/27 from 6-9pm.
