International Ballet proudly presents Don Quixote—classical ballet’s original romantic comedy!
Staged by Artistic Director Vlada Kysselova, this sensational production features International Ballet’s talented pre-professional company alongside acclaimed principal guest artists Melissa Gelfin and Rafael Quenedit. Set to the vibrant score by Ludwig Minkus—performed live by Greenville Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Edvard Tchivzhel. Don Quixote is a dazzling journey through the Spanish countryside.
Inspired by Miguel de Cervantes’ beloved novel and brought to life with the iconic choreography of Marius Petipa, the ballet follows the whimsical adventures of the noble Don Quixote and his loyal squire Sancho Panza, as well as the passionate love story between Kitri and Basilio. Complete with toreadors, intricate fan dances, and even a swordfight with a windmill, this high-energy production is vibrant, hilarious, and full of charm.
