Details

Visual artists from Greenville County, Laurens County, or those living within a 25-mile radius of the Golden Strip are invited to participate in Countybank's purchase of local art program for its new office in the Countybank building on SE Main Street in downtown Simpsonville. Please submit works for potential purchase by completing the Application Submission Form (CLICK HERE). The overall budget for this project is $8,000, and below are the space requirements (including framing). Submissions relative to the Golden Strip are preferred.

One submission should be 48 - 60" wide X 48 - 60" high.

Seven submissions should be 30 - 36" wide X 30 - 36" high.

Groupings in this size range such as diptychs and triptychs are acceptable.

Works may be paintings, mixed media, fine art photography, fine art prints (monotypes, woodcuts, engravings, etc.). No reproductions of any kind will be accepted.

Up to three submissions per artists will be considered. You should submit high-resolution, digital images of your submissions to Alan Ethridge at [email protected] by 5:00 P.M. on February 11, 2022. Late submissions will not be accepted. The attached fillable form must be completed and presented with your submissions. Please use your last name to save the completed form and include with your digital images.

After perusing the digital images, Countybank officials will make preliminary selections. Those artists whose works are selected will then be asked to drop off their works at the Countybank Office at 309 SE Main Street, Simpsonville, SC 29681e, at a date and time following the submission date. Works may be framed, but framing is not necessary for presentation. You will be notified following viewing of preliminary selections by the bank if your submission will be purchased. Pieces selected for the preliminary selections will have the opportunity to be displayed at an Art Event at the Simpsonville Arts Center anticipated in late February 2022. Those items making the preliminary selection and not purchased by Countybank could be available for sale at the Art Event.

If you have any questions, please contact Alan Ethridge at MAC at 467-3132 or via e-mail, [email protected]
