Join “Long Overdue” exhibiting artists Traci Wright Martin and Michelle Berg Radford on Tuesday, March 12th at 6pm in the Main Gallery for a night of demonstrations and discussion about their artwork currently on display at GCCA. Traci Wright Martin will illustrate the meanings behind her visual quotations seen in her work as she unveils the narratives of the Moth and Herstory series. Traci will be presenting a demonstration blending drawing and mixed media techniques, Traci will unveil the secrets behind laying out compositions, offering a deeper understanding of her creative process. Michelle Berg Radford will illuminate the rich history of smocking. Discover how this age-old art form deserves its resurgence in contemporary art. Michelle will also showcase the art of smocking in action, unveiling works at various stages of completion to provide a comprehensive understanding of the artform.
