Chamber Music Series Tuesday, May 20, 7:30 pm Fine Arts Center, 102 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville
The final chamber music concert in the inaugural year of the new world-class series called Andy & Friends, hosted by pianist Andrew Armstrong and presented by the Sigal Music Museum, will be on Tuesday evening, May 20, at the Fine Arts Center in Greenville, 102 Pine Knoll Drive, at 7:30 p.m. Violinist Amy Schwartz Moretti and cellist Edward Arron will join Andy in performing two piano trios: Armenian composer Arno Babajanian’s Piano Trio in f-sharp minor and Johannes Brahms’s Piano Trio No. 1 in B Major. Babajanian is celebrated for his integration of styles including Armenian folk music, jazz, rock ’n’ roll, and classical, creating an original style instantly recognized as being his. These three musicians, who have been playing together for more than 25 years, will also coach FAC students that day.
