"Tethered Swamp Whirl"
The Distance of the Moon
In the Weeds
I cut paper to abstract the natural world and reflect on human roles in ecology. By depicting graphic silhouettes with delicate, ephemeral cut paper, I hope to create a tension between natural beauty and my building anxiety for how we manipulate our environments. Using one plane of paper to create images through positive and negative space creates a sense of interconnectedness and sometimes chaos. I find inspiration in shimmering silhouettes, unfettered growth and the boundless wilderness.
From S. Main St take Pendleton St. approximately one mile into the Village of West Greenville. Artbomb is on the right.
