When I immerse myself in the creative processes of photography and painting, they give me immense joy.
Bold colors, depth and changes in energy offer renewed engagement and help to define the work I want to create.
When I recently worked on a lesser known Van Gogh painting, I was drawn by the intense use of yellow green. I was also inspired by his use of textured impasto and how it adds dimension and a sense of motion to the painting. Various colors are mixed together to create grass, bushes and leaves. The tan puffy cotton balls over an array of mint, apple and sap green bushes seem to pop out of the canvas.
By being a part of this community, I'd like to further develop my skills and connect with like-minded artists.
